The dramatic growth over the last half century in the dynamic two-way flow of commerce between Hong Kong and Australia marks an inspiring achievement of co-operation and promotion by business and Government on both sides. The HKABA fills a pivotal role in this two-way flow. In spreading awareness of the business opportunities in each country, and providing promotional guidance and support, it has contributed significantly in maximizing the economic benefit to both countries. I have been privileged to play some part in the professional aspects of this commerce and have seen at first hand the benefit of the HKABA’s work. I am proud to have been invited to participate as its Patron and I look forward to assisting in promoting its important and exciting activities in the future.
